Although in Italy and in Europe has been imposed a maximum of 50% of recycled PET for the production of bottles, the Italian company Sipa has launched in the market an innovative injection moulding preform system that allow to manufacture bottles with 100% of recycled PET.
According to Sipa, up to 50% of R-PET it is required just a little change in the moulding parameters and the use of an auxiliary gravimetric dryer; in the case of an upper amount of recycled PET, it will be necessary upgrading the plastification unit and providing the machine with a good filtration system.
Among the several advantages, we mention the high quality preforms, limited costs and the optimization of the cycle production.
