Plastic bags are no longer legal

It has been talked about for a long time but now it is real: according to the European law, plastic bags are no longer legal. The reason for why they are still seen around is that traders are allowed to get rid of them, without making the customers pay for them.
Plastic bags have always been one of the most important topic about environmental pollution since their decomposition requires more than 200 years.
Henceforth, plastic bags must bear the caption “biodegradable” or “en13432”. Among the most widespread types we can find an all Italian patent, that is the shoppers made from maize starch. However, although their rain resistance is guaranteed, it is not for tears, in particular for heavy load.
Therefore, it is better to use bags made of jute, hemp or those made of polymers deriving from plasticrecycling (on sale in many markets).
